ERIN Spalt, STUDIO OWNER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Erin is a Scituate resident who began dancing locally at the age of two. Her training as a young dancer, in combination with the competitive side of dance, inspired her to pursue a dance education degree upon acceptance into Bridgewater State University. During the four years that Erin spent at BSU, she was able to gain a tremendous amount of experience, both in and out of the dance studio. BSU provided her with opportunities to choreograph, perform in showcases and competitions, stage-manage, costume/set design, and further develop her teaching skills and technique. Erin also taught a variety of ages at the studio where she grew up dancing, to compliment her expanding dance education. Concurrent to earning her degree, Erin graduated from the Dance Teachers’ Club of Boston Dance Education Training Program in the summer of 2015. After completing her first year of the DTCB Dance Education Training Program she was awarded the “DeLutis Sisters” Scholarship for achieving the highest test and performance score in Jazz. A few months post-graduation, Erin began her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training, and completed her requirements in June of 2016.

In the years since graduating Bridgewater State, Erin assisted with the management of two dance studios, and continued to instruct dance and Yoga to various age groups locally. In August of 2019, Erin became a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor for Primary level through Pre-Professional Level 3. She has learned that a dance educator has a huge influence on her students throughout the years she's been dancing and training. She works hard to be an example of kindness, determination, and integrity to all of her students. While it is her main goal to motivate her students to excel in all areas of dance, she hopes to create a bond amongst her students and teach them valuable life skills.
